Bangle Bracelets

A bangle bracelet is a rigid bracelet, in the shape of a ring, generally made of metal. The traditional bangle is a closed circular model, often without a clasp. This type of bracelet has been found throughout history, worn by women and men of different cultures. As early as 2600 BC, these bracelets were already worn at weddings, cultural dance ceremonies and frequently given as gifts of protection. They were often worn stacked rather than as a single individual bracelet. Even though these bracelets have been modernized over time, many of them have retained tribal accents in their design. Many are delicately adorned with beautiful colored gemstones. Often made of metal, gold, or silver, bangle bracelets are common pieces of jewelry that are usually worn on the wrist or arm.
